ProtocolRank Guide

Compare longevity claims before your next purchase

Before your next longevity purchase, compare the evidence, uncertainty, cost and questions to discuss with a qualified clinician. This is an editorial research guide, not a personalized protocol or a clinically validated scoring tool.

Try the research worksheet

Use this free companion worksheet to investigate one claim before buying. It is an original example of the research approach, not an excerpt or a medical recommendation. Copy it into your notes; no signup required.

  1. Write the exact seller claim, product, price and recurring costs.
  2. Open the original study. Record its population, study design, comparator, measured outcome, duration and funding.
  3. Separate the measured outcome from the advertised outcome. A change in a biomarker does not by itself establish longer life.
  4. Record what is unknown: applicability, adverse events, medication interactions, and costs or access requirements omitted by the seller.
  5. Write the unresolved question you would take to a qualified clinician. Leave the purchase decision open when the evidence does not answer it.

Worked example: sauna and longevity

Start with the 2015 cohort paper. Record who was studied and how exposure was measured. Ask whether an observational association supports a causal claim about a device or about you. Compare the paper with the NHLBI study-quality questions. This worksheet does not prescribe heat exposure.

Design and population
A prospective observational cohort of 2,315 men aged 42–60 in eastern Finland.
Observed result
Sauna-use patterns were associated with differences in mortality during follow-up.
Limit of the claim
This does not establish that assigning you a sauna schedule causes the same outcome, or that the result applies unchanged to other populations.
Question before a purchase
What evidence supports this seller's specific device or claim, and what are its recurring costs and practical constraints?

The paid guide adds ten editorial protocol rankings, a scoring rubric, stacking discussions, planning templates and a reference list. Rankings express editorial judgments; they are not evidence that one option is safe or effective for an individual.

Read our evidence and ranking methodology, including the limits of editorial scores and the legacy-page review backlog.

What You Will Learn

  • • How to evaluate longevity protocols by evidence quality, execution friction, risk burden, and cost-to-outcome fit
  • • How to separate high-confidence fundamentals from speculative add-ons before spending money
  • • How to judge peptide claims by route, evidence tier, sourcing risk, monitoring burden, and legal context
  • • Which protocol combinations create synergy, overlap, or recovery debt when stacked in real life
  • • How to build a 12-week implementation plan with checkpoints, de-escalation rules, and stop criteria
  • • How to avoid common buying mistakes when selecting supplements, testing, peptide clinics, devices, and coaching

Preview

The guide is built to prevent expensive protocol regret: it gives you the scoring model, peptide-specific caution framework, rollout sequence, and stop rules before you spend on clinics, powders, devices, labs, or coaching.

Chapter 1 Preview: Scoring Framework

  • • Why evidence strength and implementation friction must be scored separately
  • • How ProtocolRank weights adherence risk against expected upside
  • • A quick filter for removing protocols that look good but underperform in practice

Chapter 2 Preview: Peptide Decision Layer

  • • How to separate prescription peptide pathways from gray-market recovery peptide hype
  • • Why route, sequence identity, sterility, and endpoint selection matter more than anecdotes
  • • When BPC-157, TB4/TB-500, GHK-Cu, GH secretagogues, and ARA-290 belong in the conversation—and when they do not

Chapter 5 Preview: 12-Week Rollout

  • • Where protocol stacking improves outcomes and where overlap creates wasted spend
  • • How to sequence high-impact protocols over a 12-week window
  • • The common purchase traps that make expensive protocols underdeliver

FAQ

Is this guide beginner-friendly?

Yes. The framework starts from first principles and then layers in advanced implementation details.

Is this medical advice?

No. This is educational content for decision support and should be used alongside qualified medical guidance.

How long is the guide?

The current edition is a detailed PDF with a 12-week planning framework, scoring tables, operating procedures, and appendices.

Does the guide cover peptides?

Yes, but conservatively. It explains how to think about BPC-157, TB4/TB-500, GHK-Cu, CJC/Ipamorelin, GLP-1 pathways, ARA-290/cibinetide, route differences, sourcing risk, and clinician oversight without giving self-prescribing instructions.

Will this be updated?

This purchase covers the current PDF edition. Future updates are not a guaranteed part of the purchase.

Are rankings or recommendations sponsored?

No. The guide is paid by readers, not brands. ProtocolRank does not sell paid placements in its rankings.

What happens after checkout?

After checkout, purchasers are routed to an access page for the digital PDF. The public page intentionally shows a preview only.
